Twin Wire Mesh Fencing: Built for Strength and Performance
Twin wire mesh fencing is a high-strength fencing system designed for long-term use in professional environments. Thanks to its double horizontal wire design, this fence is far more rigid and impact-resistant than standard mesh panels. Whether it's securing a schoolyard, protecting an industrial zone or marking out residential boundaries, this system offers both strength and structure.
Unlike single-wire panels, twin wire mesh combines two horizontal wires with a vertical wire, creating a fence that holds its shape under pressure and resists bending. This makes it a popular choice for locations where security, stability and durability are crucial.
Flexible in Use, Reliable in Quality
Our twin wire fencing is available in two versions: a 6/5/6 mm configuration for general and residential use, and a heavier 8/6/8 mm version for commercial, public and industrial applications. Both are made from welded galvanised steel and finished with a durable powder coating. Standard mesh openings of 50 x 200 mm offer a tight and tamper-resistant structure, while panel heights range from 630 mm to 2430 mm.
The panels can be ordered with or without top spikes, depending on your site requirements. Special heights and colours are also available for large projects or specific design needs.
You can choose from a selection of standard RAL colours such as black, anthracite and green, all of which are UV-resistant and weatherproof. This means the fence will retain its clean appearance for many years, with little to no maintenance required.
Designed for Demanding Projects
Twin wire mesh fencing is often used in places where other fences simply don’t last. Schools and sports fields rely on its child-safe design and impact resistance. Industrial areas and warehouses benefit from its stability and security. Even housing estates, car parks and public spaces are increasingly turning to twin wire panels for their neat appearance and proven performance.
Thanks to its robust construction and corrosion resistance, the fence is suitable for year-round outdoor use and performs well in both urban and rural environments. It can even be combined with hedge planting or privacy slats for a more closed or green appearance.
Posts and Installation
To ensure the system functions correctly, Fenceweb supplies matching steel fence posts in a 60 x 40 mm square profile, the most commonly used post type in the UK. Posts can be installed directly in the ground with concrete or mounted using anchors, depending on surface conditions.
Each post can be fitted with clips, caps and cover strips as needed. The system is designed for easy alignment and quick installation, whether you’re working on flat terrain or a sloped site.
