AES wireless e-Keypad, no cabling needed
The e-Keypad is a battery-powered wireless keypad that needs no cabling. It mounts with two screws, a CR2450 coin cell powers it, and a 433.39 MHz link with AES 128-bit encryption carries the signal to an eTrans transceiver, which does the relay switching.
Codes and channels
It holds up to 200 access codes plus a supervisor code, takes 4 to 8 digit PINs, and codes can be limited to a set number of uses. Three channels are available, and the housing is waterproof.
Where it fits
It is the straightforward answer for an entry or exit keypad where there is no cable and no wish to dig a trench. Its power consumption is 200 nA, from a 540 mAh coin cell.
Choosing a transceiver
The keypad works with an eTrans transceiver, which is wired to the gate operator. The eTrans 50 gives one normally-open relay, the eTrans 100 adds a second relay with normally-closed contacts, and the eTrans 200 adds an LCD display. Ordered under AES part number EKPD, with the two-year manufacturer's warranty.
