FENCETECH 2026 – Indianapolis, Indiana

FENCETECH 2026 took place February 2–6, 2026, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Organized by the American Fence Association (AFA), FENCETECH is the largest trade show and convention dedicated to the fence, gate, and perimeter security industry in North America. This year's event brought together over 5,500 attendees and featured more than 350 exhibitors across a massive exhibit floor that was open from February 4 through 6. Visitors could attend over 75 educational sessions led by 55 expert instructors, covering everything from installation techniques and sales strategies to leadership development.

What Types of Companies Exhibit at FENCETECH?

FENCETECH attracts a wide range of companies from across the fencing and access control industry. Exhibitors include manufacturers of fence panels, gates, and railings, as well as suppliers of raw materials such as steel, aluminum, vinyl, and wood. You'll also find companies specializing in access control systems, gate operators and automation, perimeter security solutions, and software for fence contractors. Additionally, the 2026 show expanded with a new dedicated area for Tools, Trucks, & Trailers, showcasing equipment essential to fence installation professionals. Sponsors included well-known industry names like LiftMaster and Veka Outdoor Living.

Chain Link Fence

Chain link fence is one of the most widely used fencing types in the United States. It is made from galvanized or coated steel wire woven into a diamond pattern, creating a strong, flexible, and durable mesh. Chain link fencing is popular for residential, commercial, and industrial applications because of its affordability, low maintenance, and long lifespan. It is commonly used for property boundaries, sports fields, playgrounds, and security perimeters. Chain link fences are available in various heights, wire gauges, and coatings — including vinyl-coated options that come in colors like black, green, and brown for a more attractive appearance.

Welded Wire Fence

Welded wire fence is constructed from steel wires that are electrically welded together at each intersection, forming a rigid grid pattern. This type of fencing offers a clean, uniform look and provides excellent strength and stability. Welded wire fence panels are widely used in residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial settings. They are ideal for property enclosures, garden fencing, animal containment, and security applications. Welded wire fences are typically available in galvanized or powder-coated finishes for added corrosion resistance and come in a variety of mesh sizes and wire thicknesses to suit different needs.
