The External Access Kit (EAK) from D&D Technologies adds a push button to the outside of a gate fitted with a LokkLatch, so the latch can be operated from both sides. It is the kit to add when a LokkLatch was fitted without its External Access Button.
Compatibility
The kit is made for LokkLatch latches; its product sheet and installation guide pair it with the LokkLatch Regular Series 3. The LokkLatch range suits aluminum, vinyl and wood gates, and the latch is key-lockable, so no padlock or chain is needed.
Materials and security
Like the LokkLatch, the kit is made from UV-stabilised polymer that will not rust or stain, with marine-grade stainless steel components. Locking the External Access Button does not lock the main latch at the same time, so lock both where the gate must stay shut.
Options and fitting
Choose black (044664) or white (LLBW); each kit weighs 0.4 lb. Fasteners are supplied in the box, and the video on this page shows how the LokkLatch Series 3 is fitted. D&D backs the kit with a limited lifetime warranty.
