The MagnaLatch Panic Bar from D&D Technologies is the first magnetic latching panic bar made for outdoor gates: one push opens a self-latching pool, school or exit gate from the inside. Choose the panic bar on its own, or with the MagnaLatch ACCESS kit for a lockable latch on the outside.

MagnaLatch Panic Bar: a magnetic panic bar for outdoor gates
D&D Technologies calls the MagnaLatch Panic Bar the world's first magnetic latching panic bar made for outdoor use. A magnet latches the gate, so there is no mechanical resistance and the gate latches securely every time, which matters on a public pool gate. The bar is UV stabilized and built with corrosion resistant components for indoor and outdoor gates.

The ACCESS kit
The ACCESS Vertical Pull adds a lockable latch with a universal release knob on the outside of the gate. D&D designed it to meet ADA requirements for operating force, so it opens without tight grasping or twisting, and it can be locked when the gate is not in use.
Fit and adjustment
The panic bar adjusts horizontally by up to 1/2" and takes a gate gap from 7/16" to 15/16". It fits square posts from 2" on aluminum and steel gates, and D&D lists it as suitable for ADA standards. The panic bar only model also works with a range of common locks, including lever, coded, electronic and smart locks.
On a pool or safety gate, always confirm the requirements with your local authority before you fit it.
