MagnaLatch Series 3 Top Pull: the magnetic child and pool safety gate latch
D&D Technologies invented magnetic safety gate latches, and the Series 3 Top Pull is the current version of its original MagnaLatch. Patented magnetic technology and permanent magnets eliminate mechanical jamming as the gate closes, making the latch toddler resistant for gates around swimming pools, childcare centers, schools and homes.
Operation and security
A visual indicator shows whether the latch is locked or unlocked, and the higher security lock cylinder can be rekeyed by a locksmith to match your doors. Indicator marks show when the latch needs adjusting. D&D states it meets the international standards for pool gates, has tested it to 2 million cycles and rates it 50% stronger than previous models.
Materials and fit
The latch is made from engineering polymers with stainless steel components and is built for extreme climates. It suits square posts of 1" and up on aluminum, steel, wood and vinyl gates, with an ideal gate gap of 3/4" on gates of about 3' wide and 5' high. It adjusts vertically and horizontally.
Installation
The latch screws on and the fasteners are supplied in the box. On a pool gate, always confirm the safety requirements with your local authority before fitting.
