Operation
The hinge can be installed where a full 180 degree gate opening is required. High temperature sealed bearings need no greasing and no maintenance, and they are safe to powder coat with the hinges installed on the gate. Horizontal adjustment lets you set the gate precisely.

The gap between end post and gate is fixed at 13 mm. D&D rates the hinges at a load of 1,360 kg per gate and a maximum gate weight of 680 kg. They suit square posts of 40 mm and up and have a zinc finish.
Typical uses
The barrel hinge is specified for pedestrian, pet, privacy, security and commercial gates, including heavy single and double drive gates. It is not self-closing.
