Shut It Combo BadAss with Steel Body: for mixed steel and aluminum gates
The Combo BadAss uses the same technology as D&D Technologies' bigger hinges, for installations that are not all steel or all aluminum. This steel body version is the one for welding gates upside down, or for the rare case of an aluminum end post with a steel gate.
Materials and operation
The hinge combines a steel body with aluminum parts. Two high temperature sealed bearings need no greasing and no maintenance, and they are safe to powder coat with the hinges installed on the gate.
Sizes and fit
D&D rates the hinges at a load of 450 kg per gate and a maximum gate weight of 270 kg. The adjustable bracket gives horizontal adjustment for a precise installation, with a gate gap of 61 to 74 mm. It suits round or plate post installations.
Installation
The hinge is welded on and is not self-closing. For an aluminum gate on a steel post, choose the Combo BadAss with Aluminum Body.
