SureClose MK180: 180-degree hydraulic closing in a compact hinge
The SureClose MK180 is a compact hydraulic hinge-closer from D&D Technologies. It controls the gate smoothly through 180 degrees and returns it safely to the closed position, with a self-latching speed that adjusts separately from 20 degrees. MotionKinetic fluid keeps the closing speed consistent as the temperature changes.
For heavy gates
A pair is rated for aluminum and steel gates up to 330 lb, around 4' wide and 6' high, and D&D states it meets ADA requirements. No gate stop is needed, which saves cost and installation time.
Finish and fit
At 7-1/2" tall it keeps a low profile on the gate. The marine-grade matte black anodized finish resists corrosion, so it suits coastal and harsh environments. It screws on to square posts from 2", takes a hinge gap of 9/16" to 13/16" and adjusts by about 1/4". Order the left or right hand set to match the opening direction of the gate.
