TURNITEC base mechanism for 4-arm turnstiles
The TURNITEC is the Locinox modular mechanism for building turnstiles. This base version is made for a 4-arm turnstile, with the arms at 90 degrees. On its own it lets the turnstile turn freely in both directions.
Operation
Because the mechanism is modular, you can add to it later. Mechanical and electromechanical locking modules control the direction of passage or lock the turnstile, and a hydraulic damper makes the rotation smooth. Together they let you fine-tune the access control and usability of the turnstile to the site.
Choosing 3 or 4 arms
Locinox makes the base mechanism in two versions: this one for a 4-arm turnstile at 90 degrees and one for a 3-arm turnstile at 120 degrees. Choose the version that matches the number of arms of the turnstile you are building. The sources for this version do not give its dimensions, so check them with Fenceweb before designing the frame. The locking modules and damper are ordered separately.
