The Gatemaster Superlock 2.0 latch deadlock combines a latch with a deadlock: the handles work the latch day to day, and a turn of the key deadlocks it. Key access on both sides, a pressure die-cast one-piece case and a 5-year warranty, for 3/8" to 1-3/16" and 1-9/16" to 2-3/8" frames.

Gatemaster Superlock 2.0 latch deadlock: convenience and security in one
The bolt-on latch deadlock has both the convenience of a latch and the security of a deadlock. For day to day use, the handles operate the latch, and the latch can then be deadlocked by turning the key from either side.
What is new in 2.0
The upgraded BLD 2.0 keeps the features of the original BLD but has a new pressure die-cast one-piece case, designed to be stronger, sleeker and more durable. Gatemaster gives a 5-year warranty on the Superlock 2.0 range. Certain features are protected under European Patent No. 3354825.
Sizes and handles
Versions are made for 3/8" to 1-3/16" and 1-9/16" to 2-3/8" gate frames, each with plain black lever handles or traditional handles. A set of three keys, the M8 fixing bolts, face plate, latchbolt and a strike plate with self-drilling fasteners are supplied.
Installation
To fit, drill two 3/8" holes at 5-1/2" centers for the fixing bolts and an 11/16" clearance hole for the latchbolt, then bolt the lock on and fix the strike plate to the gate post by welding or with screws. Every six months, lubricate the latchbolt with light oil.

Installation
- 1Drill two 3/8" holes at 5-1/2" centers for the fixing bolts provided
- 2Drill a 3/4" clearance hole for the latchbolt, centered 2-3/8" above the bottom fixing hole
- 3Hold the lock against the back of the box section and screw the latchbolt on through the larger hole.
- 4Lock the latchbolt by inserting the hex key supplied into the end of the latchbolt.
- 5Fix the lock in place with the stainless steel bolt support plate and the countersunk screws supplied, and check that the latchbolt still moves freely.
- 6Fix the strike plate to the gate post, either by welding or with screws.
Maintenance
Every 6 months, lubricate the latchbolt with light oil. Once a year, dismantle the lock and spray the mechanism with light oil to get the longest life out of the product.

Will it survive outdoors all year?
It is built for it. The bodies are pressure die-cast and powder-coated, latchbolts are stainless steel and the keypads are marine grade, so salt air and rain are not a problem. Follow the maintenance schedule on this page - a spray of light oil a few times a year is what keeps a gate lock feeling new after a decade outside.
What warranty comes with this product?
Gatemaster gives a 5-year warranty on the Superlock 2.0 range and a manufacturer's warranty on the rest of the program, covering defects in material and workmanship. Keep your invoice: that is the proof of purchase a claim is assessed on. Damage from forcing, from the wrong installation or from missed maintenance is not covered - which is why the maintenance schedule on this page is worth following.

Which version fits my gate frame?
Measure the depth of the gate frame, the box section or flat bar the lock bolts onto. Versions are made for 3/8" to 1-3/16" and 1-9/16" to 2-3/8" frames. Pick the version that matches your frame; a lock made for a deeper frame will not sit flush on a shallow one. The product codes are BLD1030P, BLD1030T, BLD4060P and BLD4060T.
