Drive-in cap that closes off round Ø 2-3/8" posts
This plastic cap is made for round fence posts with a diameter of 2-3/8". As a drive-in cap it fits into the open end of the tube rather than over it, so the top of the post is closed off with a neat, flush finish.
Materials and fit
The cap is made of plastic. It suits round Ø 2-3/8" posts. Check the outside diameter of your posts before ordering, as the cap is made for this one size.
Installation
Fit the cap once the post is set and the concrete has cured. Place it in the top of the tube and tap it home, using a rubber mallet so the plastic is not damaged. Order one cap per post, including corner and end posts of the same diameter.
When to choose this cap
Choose a drive-in cap when you want a simple, unobtrusive finish on the post top. Where a top rail or barbed wire arm sits on the post, a pass-through cap or wire arm takes the place of this cap.
