Drive-in PVC post cap for 80 x 80 mm posts
An open post fills with rainwater and dirt, and an uncapped top looks unfinished. This drive-in cap closes a square post of 80 x 80 mm: it is pressed into the top of the post, so it sits flush with the post profile and stays in place.
Sizes and fit
The cap is made for square posts of 80 x 80 mm. Because a drive-in cap fits inside the post, measure the outside of the post before ordering and check that the post is open at the top. A cap for a different post size will either not go in or sit loose.
Materials and finish
The cap is made of PVC in black RAL 9005. Plastic does not rust, and black suits posts in black as well as in other dark finishes.
Installation
Place the cap on the open top of the post and drive it in with a rubber or plastic mallet until it sits down. Fit the caps once the posts are set, so they are not knocked loose while the rest of the fence goes up.
