Shut It 4" Hardcore V-Groove Wheel: heavy duty wheels for sliding gates
This V-groove wheel is designed for sliding gates with a bottom rail running on a V-track. It belongs to D&D Technologies' Shut It Hardcore range of sliding gate hardware and is sold as the wheel only, without carriage plates.
Materials and operation
The wheel is made from super-hard cold rolled steel with a 30RC rating. Two sealed bearings need no greasing and no maintenance. At only 1-1/8" wide, it reduces friction and problems with debris on the track.
Sizes and fit
Choose the model for your bottom rail: 38 mm or 51 mm. D&D rates the wheels at a load of 1,360 kg per gate and a maximum gate weight of 680 kg. The CI2425 model is made for wheel boxes, which makes it a good choice for retrofit and repair work.
Compatibility
Adjustable Shut It Hardcore carriage plates and a carriage cap are available separately, so you can mount the wheel inside the bottom rail and fine tune the gate. The wheel bolts in place.
