Shut It Aluminum BadAss: a weld-on hinge for aluminum gates
The Aluminum BadAss brings D&D Technologies' BadAss hinge design to aluminum gates. Like the Original BadAss, it is CNC machined to tight tolerances, and the Shut It bushing design gives near frictionless movement with maintenance-free use.
Materials and operation
The hinge is aluminum with a raw finish. Two high temperature sealed bearings need no greasing and no maintenance, and they are safe to powder coat with the hinges installed on the gate.
Sizes and fit
D&D rates the hinges at a load of 450 kg per gate and a maximum gate weight of 270 kg. The adjustable bracket gives horizontal adjustment for a precise installation, with a gate gap of 61 to 74 mm. It is ideal for flat post installations.
Installation
The hinge is welded to the gate and post. It suits pedestrian, pet, privacy, security and commercial gates and is not self-closing.
