U-Safe safety cable for gates up to 1,102 lb
A gate that comes off its hinges can cause serious injury. The U-Safe cable links the gate to the post as a backup, so the gate stays in place if the hinges break or wear out. It is a simple safety measure for heavy swing gates.
Strength
The U-Safe cable is rated up to 3,307 lb and prevents gates of up to 1,102 lb from falling, even when both hinges fail. Locinox developed it to secure a gate in accordance with the gate standard EN 12604.
Installation
The cable is fixed into the post and the gate with the patented Quick-Fix fixing system, which gives an easy yet firm fixing without welding. As the photos show, the U-shaped stainless steel cable is fitted between gate and post near a hinge.
Materials and finish
The cable is made of stainless steel and has black end fittings. It does not need a coating and can stay outdoors on galvanized or powder coated gates. Follow the Locinox instructions for the fixing position, because the protection depends on a correct installation.
