Single gate Professional: a heavy-duty entrance for twin wire fencing
The single gate Professional matches twin wire mesh fencing, in particular the heavy 8/6/8 panel, and also suits 6/5/6 fencing. The leaf is filled with twin wire mesh of 8 mm horizontal and 6 mm vertical wires, welded together, in a 60 x 40 mm frame.
Materials and finish
The gate is hot-dip galvanized and then powder coated. Combined with the aluminum lock case and keep, this keeps the risk of rust very low and protects the gate in all weather.
Sizes and fit
The gate posts are 2-3/8" x 2-3/8" steel with a 14 GA wall and are 2'8" longer than the leaf. On the 4'2" version the leaf is 3'10" wide, the clear opening between the posts is 3'10" after allowing for the keep, and the overall width including posts is 4'6".
Installation and options
Set the posts in concrete or quick-setting concrete for the best rigidity, or mount them on gate base plates fixed with self-tapping screws; ground fixings for base plates are not supplied. The hinges sit on the outside of the post, so the leaf can open through 180°. A child lock is available as an option, and privacy strips with clips can be woven into the infill.
