The wire is made from non-alloy steel wire rod to EN ISO 16120-2, with dimensions and tolerances to EN 10218-2. It is galvanized with primary zinc of 99.995 per cent purity (EN 1179) to EN 10244-2 Class D, with at least 40 g of zinc per square meter.
Coil dimensions and packing
A coil has an outer diameter of 800 to 1100 mm, an inner diameter of 580 to 620 mm and a height of 600 or 750 mm, and it unwinds to the left. The maximum helix is 300 mm. This coil weighs about 2000 kg. Each coil is tied with four galvanised steel straps of 32 x 0.8 mm.
