The look of timber without the upkeep
Composite combines wood fiber and polyethylene: according to Gardenode about 90% recycled material. It does not rot, splinter or need staining, and twelve slats close a bay about 70-7/8" tall.
Brushed, wood grain or co-extruded
Brushed and wood grain slats come in Anthracite Gray and Quartz Gray. Co-extruded slats carry a protective outer skin against UV, scratches and stains, in Graphite, Teak and Anthracite Gray.
Fitting it right
Put the tongue up and the groove down, align the slats by the serial number on the top edge, and slide a galvanized steel brace into every third slat. At least two fixing blocks per bay keep the expansion gap Gardenode's guide asks for.

Do composite slats need a brace?
Yes, a galvanized steel brace in every third solid slat.
Will it stain after the first rain?
New composite can show light marks from production dust after the first rains. They wash away; clean the fence once a year with a sponge and clean water, and skip the pressure washer.
Does it fit other fence systems?
Assume not. The grooves, clips and profiles are made for the Gardenode Equinox system, so order posts, slats and accessories from the same range.
