Locinox ABL hold-back catch to keep an open gate in place
The ABL is a gate hold-back catch: it holds a swing gate in its open position, so the gate does not swing shut in the wind or block a passage while it is in use. The catch is set into concrete in the ground at the point where the opened gate comes to rest. The adjustable catch reaches through the gate over the bottom rail.
Sizes and fit
The catch hook is adjustable in height, so it can be set to the exact height of the gate profile after the base is in the concrete. It suits gate profiles up to 1-15/16".
Materials and finish
The catch is hot-dip galvanized. The zinc layer protects the steel against corrosion, which matters for a part that stands in the ground and is exposed to water and dirt. The body is a steel U-profile, the bolt is stainless steel and the catch hook is aluminum.
Installation
Open the gate to the position where it should be held, mark the spot and set the catch into concrete there. Once the concrete has set, adjust the hook to the height of the gate profile.
