Locinox TURNITEC mechanical module, no power needed
This module turns the TURNITEC base mechanism into a fully mechanical turnstile. No power supply or cabling is needed, which makes it a simple option for sites without electricity at the entrance.
Operation
The release and locking of a direction of rotation is set easily with a Europrofile cylinder lock. People enter by pushing the turnstile arm. The module can be used for left or right rotation. Because it works without power, no cable run to the turnstile is needed and the module keeps working during a power cut.
Security
A 60 degree locking mechanism provides anti-passback security, protecting against two people entering at the same time.
Installation and durability
The module is easy to install on site, and can later be replaced by an electromechanical module if the entrance is upgraded to access control. That makes it a sensible starting point for an entrance that may be automated later. Locinox has tested it for 1 million movements, guaranteeing performance at busy entrances.
