Gatemaster | Hook lock and digital lock kit
The Gatemaster hook lock and digital lock kit makes it simple to fit a code lock to a sliding gate. A steel case is welded into the gate, then the hook lock and keypads are fitted to it. Available single or double sided for 1-3/16", 1-9/16" and 1-15/16" box section.

Operation
Access is by code on the digital keypad. The lock is also keyed on both sides for deadlocking the hook, and it is supplied with a 2-3/8" eurocylinder and three keys.
Sizes and versions
The kit is available for three box section widths: 1-3/16", 1-9/16" and 1-15/16". Each comes as a single sided version with one keypad (HLSK) or a double sided version with a pair of keypads (HLDK).
Installation
Cut a section out of the gate's box section and weld the steel case in its place. Galvanize or paint the gate with the case built in, then fit the hook lock and the digital keypads with the fixings supplied.

Will it survive outdoors all year?
It is built for it. The bodies are pressure die-cast and powder-coated, latchbolts are stainless steel and the keypads are marine grade, so salt air and rain are not a problem. Follow the maintenance schedule on this page - a spray of light oil a few times a year is what keeps a gate lock feeling new after a decade outside.
What warranty comes with this product?
Gatemaster gives a 5-year warranty on the Superlock 2.0 range and a manufacturer's warranty on the rest of the program, covering defects in material and workmanship. Keep your invoice: that is the proof of purchase a claim is assessed on. Damage from forcing, from the wrong installation or from missed maintenance is not covered - which is why the maintenance schedule on this page is worth following.
Is this in stock and how fast can I get it?
Gatemaster hardware is part of our standard program, so the common versions ship from stock. If you need a quantity for a project, or you are not sure which version fits your gate, ask us for a quote - we will check the frame size and handing with you before anything is picked.
Can I change the code myself?
Yes, and you do not need a locksmith. Take the keypad off the lock, open it up and reposition the code pins for the digits you want; the printed instructions in the box walk through it step by step. Set a code you will remember, then test it a few times with the gate open before you close it.
Does this code lock need power or batteries?
No. The keypad is fully mechanical, so there is no wiring, no batteries and nothing to replace. That is what makes it suitable for gates at the far end of a site, allotments, bin stores and anywhere a cable run would be impractical - and it keeps working in a power cut.
