Q-Bolt Drop-Bolt: a lockable drop bolt for metal, wood and vinyl gates
A drop bolt holds a gate leaf, typically the fixed leaf of a double gate, in place by dropping into the ground. The Q-Bolt combines a stainless steel bolt with a tough polymer mounting system, and retention tabs stop the bolt from dropping and dragging when it is lifted.
Materials and finish
The bolt is stainless steel, powder-coated black. The mounting system is a tough polymer, made in one version for metal gates and one for wood and vinyl gates.
Sizes and options
Choose the mounting system for your gate material and a bolt length of 2' or 3'4". An optional base plate retains the bolt in the ground.
Security and installation
The Q-Bolt can be padlocked, and it has a storage feature for the padlock when the bolt is open. It screws on and the fasteners are supplied. D&D Technologies gives it a lifetime warranty.
