Shut It Baby BadAss Powder Coated Bolt-On: a black bolt-on hinge for lighter gates
The Baby BadAss is the lighter duty member of D&D Technologies' Shut It BadAss hinge family. This bolt-on version uses flat brackets for through bolting, so it can be fitted where welding the hinges to the gate and post is not an option.
Materials and finish
The steel components are individually powder coated for full coverage, in a long-lasting, UV-rated matte black finish. The nuts, bolts and washers are black zinc plated to match the color and protect against corrosion.
Operation
A sealed bearing needs no greasing and no maintenance. Horizontal adjustment lets you set the gate precisely during installation. The hinge is not self-closing.
Sizes and fit
D&D rates the hinges for a load of 270 kg per gate and a maximum gate weight of 140 kg. The gate gap is 76 to 89 mm. They are specified for pedestrian, pet, privacy, security and commercial gates. Bolts for your gate and post are ordered separately.
