Gatemaster bump stop for quieter gates
A gate that bangs shut is a nuisance in residential areas, where the noise can disturb neighbours and the public. The bump stop sits on the gate stop and takes the impact when the gate closes, so it closes with far less noise.
Sizes
Two diameters are available: BS18 at 11/16" and BS50 at 1-15/16". Both are commonly used on pedestrian gates.
Installation
Drill a hole in the gate stop, 0.276" for the BS18 or 1-3/16" for the BS50, insert the bump stop and secure it with the nut supplied, M6 for the BS18 or M10 for the BS50.

Will it survive outdoors all year?

Which size do I need?
BS18 has an 11/16" diameter and fits a 0.276" hole with an M6 nut. BS50 has a 1-15/16" diameter and fits a 1-3/16" hole with an M10 nut. Pick the size that suits the gate stop you are fitting it to.
