Each set includes two high-quality rubber plates - one sits between the bolt support plate and the gate frame, and the other between the gate frame and the forend plate of the lock.

Gatemaster isolating spacer set to protect aluminum gates
The Gatemaster isolating spacer set is designed for use with the Superlock range and adds protection when a Superlock is fitted to an aluminum gate. It creates a barrier between the stainless steel components of the lock and the aluminum gate frame.
What is supplied
Each set contains two rubber plates. One sits between the bolt support plate and the gate frame, the other between the gate frame and the forend plate of the lock.
Why galvanic corrosion matters
Galvanic corrosion occurs when two different metals come into direct contact in the presence of moisture, causing one of them to corrode more quickly. By preventing metal-on-metal contact, the plates help keep the appearance, strength and life of both the lock and the gate.

Will it survive outdoors all year?
It is built for it. The bodies are pressure die-cast and powder-coated, latchbolts are stainless steel and the keypads are marine grade, so salt air and rain are not a problem. Gatemaster gives a 5-year warranty on the Superlock 2.0 range and a manufacturer's warranty on the rest of the program, covering defects in material and workmanship. Damage from forcing, from the wrong installation or from missed maintenance is not covered - which is why the maintenance schedule on this page is worth following.
Is this in stock and how fast can I get it?
Gatemaster hardware is part of our standard program, so the common versions ship from stock. If you need a quantity for a project, or you are not sure which version fits your gate, ask us for a quote - we will check the frame size and handing with you before anything is picked.
Do I need this on a steel gate?
The set is designed for aluminum gates only, where the stainless steel parts of a Superlock and the aluminum gate frame would otherwise be in direct contact.
