Locinox hybrid keep for insert locks on wooden posts
A keep is the counterpart of the lock: it sits on the post and receives the latch and hook of the lock when the gate closes. This hybrid keep is designed for Locinox insert locks, and the combination of keep and lock gives the gate a strong anchoring.
Installation
This version of the hybrid keep is supplied with wood screws, so it is the one to choose for wooden posts. It is fixed to the face of the post opposite the lock on the gate wing.
Compatibility
The keep is made to work with Locinox insert locks. Check that the lock on your gate is an insert lock before ordering, and choose a keep from the Quick-Fix or insert ranges if your posts are metal rather than wood. Using the matching keep is what lets the hook of the insert lock engage properly, so the gate cannot simply be pushed or pulled open once it is latched.
