Hot-dip galvanized hinge axle M16
Locinox hot-dip galvanized hinge axle with an M16 thread, for hanging gates on a hinge plug. It is compatible with the DURA-4040-16 and DURA-5050-16 hinge plugs and comes in a 6-5/16" or 7-1/16" pin length to suit the gap between post and gate.

Locinox M16 hinge axle, hot-dip galvanized
This threaded hinge axle is the fixed part of a plug hinge: it is bolted through the post or gate frame and carries the hinge plug the gate turns on. It is sold on its own, so you can replace a worn axle or build your own hinge set with the matching plug.
Compatibility
The axle has an M16 thread and is compatible with the Locinox hinge plugs DURA-4040-16 and DURA-5050-16. Check which plug your gate uses before ordering, and order the plug separately if you need a new one. Replacing only the axle is a simple repair when the pin is worn but the hinge plug is still in good condition.
Sizes and finish
Two pin lengths are available: 6-5/16" (article 1040HDSM16-160) and 7-1/16" (article 1040HDSM16-180). Pick the length that bridges the distance between your post and gate frame. The axle is hot-dip galvanized to protect it against corrosion outdoors.
