Large wire tensioner for tight barbed wire and line wire
This large wire tensioner is used to pull fence wire tight, and is used in combination with barbed wire. A tight wire stays straight, looks neater and is harder to push down or climb over, so a tensioner is part of every wire run.
Sizes and finish
The tensioner is 5-1/8" long, which is the large size in the range. It is available in three finishes: hot-dip galvanized, black RAL 9005 and fir green RAL 6009. Match the color to the wire and posts for a uniform look.
Installation
Fit the tensioner in the wire run, then wind it to take up the slack until the wire is tight. Leave some adjustment in hand so you can re-tension the wire later, for example after the posts have settled.
