A black chain link fence is a galvanized steel fence with a black coat over the zinc: the fabric is bonded in black PVC, and the posts, rail and fittings carry a black polyester finish. It looks lighter than bare zinc, almost disappears against a hedge or a lawn, and lasts longer because the steel is protected twice.
