Highlights

Rails top and bottom
A bottom and a top rail frame the slats of every bay.

Spacers per slat type
Starter and intermediate packs for louver and openwork bays.

Walls and corners
Starter profiles meet a wall; angle profiles turn 45 to 135 degrees.

Base plates
Steel plates stand a post on a slab, deck or low wall.
What each accessory does
An Equinox bay is built between two posts: a rail at the bottom, slats stacked on it and a rail on top. The accessories below hold that bay together, adapt it to walls, corners and slopes, and finish the posts.
Rails, caps and clips
- Bottom rail: carries the first slat of a bay, 70-7/8" long.
- Louver bottom rail: sets the first louver slat of a bay.
- Top rail: closes the bay above the last slat, 70-7/8" long.
- Post caps: aluminum caps for the 2-3/4" x 2" and the 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" post.
- Post clip: closes the open groove of a start or end post, 6'1-7/8" or 6'10-5/8" long.
Starter and variable angle profiles
The aluminum starter profile, 82-5/8" long with its cap, starts a fence against a wall instead of a post. The variable angle profile set comes in two parts, also 82-5/8" long, and makes a corner anywhere between 45 and 135 degrees. The starter profile comes with its cap; the cap for the variable angle profile is sold separately.
Spacers for louver and openwork slats
- Openwork slat spacers: aluminum, a pack of 22 for one bay, holding the slats 5/8" apart.
- Louver slat spacers, starter: a pack of 10 that sets the first louver slat of a bay.
- Louver slat spacers, intermediate: a pack of 24 that builds one bay up to 72-7/8" tall.
Blocks and braces
The fixing block holds the bottom rail in the post groove and keeps the expansion gap that composite needs; use at least two per bay. The adjusting block is for building on sloping ground and is fixed with an Allen key under the bottom rail. The galvanized steel slat brace, 70-7/8" x 1-5/16" x 1/2", slides into a composite slat to keep a long bay straight: one in every third solid slat and one in every louver and openwork slat.
Base plates for concrete
Steel base plates stand a post on a slab, deck or low wall. The 4-3/4" x 3-7/8" plate fits the 2-3/4" x 2" post and the 5-1/8" x 5-1/8" plate fits the 3-1/8" post; both come with four screws. A version with a cover that hides the fixings is made for the 2-3/4" x 2" post.
Decorative panel framing kit
The framing kit with seals holds one laser-cut decorative panel in a bay, horizontal or vertical.
Ordering the right quantities
- Per bay: one bottom rail, one top rail and at least two fixing blocks.
- Per bay of louver slats: a louver bottom rail instead of the standard bottom rail, two starter spacers (a pack of 10 covers five bays) and one intermediate spacer pack.
- Per bay of openwork slats: one pack of 22 spacers.
- Steel braces to suit the slats, and a cap for every post.
Accessories come in Anthracite Gray RAL 7016, Quartz Gray RAL 7039, Black RAL 9005 or Teak. Where a variant shows no price, ask for a quote. Fenceweb delivers to every US state and to Canada.
Frequently asked questions
Which accessories do I need per fence section?
Each bay needs a bottom rail, a top rail and at least two fixing blocks, plus the steel braces and spacers that its slat type asks for.
What is a starter profile for?
It starts an Equinox fence against a wall instead of a post. It is 82-5/8" long and comes with its cap.
How do I make an angled corner?
Use the variable angle profile set. Its two parts join two runs at any angle between 45 and 135 degrees.
Which spacers go with louver slats?
A starter pack of 10 sets the first louver slat, and an intermediate pack of 24 builds one bay up to 72-7/8" tall.
How do I mount posts on concrete?
Use a Gardenode steel base plate with four screws: 4-3/4" x 3-7/8" for the smaller post or 5-1/8" x 5-1/8" for the larger one.
Can an Equinox fence follow a slope?
Yes. Adjusting blocks, fixed with an Allen key under the bottom rail, let you build the fence on sloping ground.
