Screw-on magnetic lock for access controlled gates
This Locinox electromagnetic lock holds a gate closed while it is powered and releases it as soon as the power is cut, so it works fail open. It is screwed onto the gate and post, which removes the time-consuming welding that many magnetic locks need. Drilling five holes is enough.
Security
Two versions are available: the MAGMAG3000 with a pulling force of 661 lb and the MAGMAG6000 with 1,323 lb. The holding force is tested on every lock. A raised edge on the housing makes it impossible to put a crowbar between the magnet and the armature plate, and an anti-residual magnetism kick-off system releases the gate cleanly.
Power and wiring
The lock runs on 12 V or 24 V DC. The MAGMAG3000 draws 500 mA at 12 V or 250 mA at 24 V; the MAGMAG6000 draws 460 mA at 12 V or 230 mA at 24 V.
Materials and finish
The powder coated aluminum housing has a two-layer protective coating for years of outdoor use, resists 500 hours of salt spray (ISO 9227) and is rated IP68 against water and dust. It is available in silver or black RAL 9005.
