A self-closing gate has to stop somewhere. Without a stop, the gate closes past its position and loads the hinge or closer in the wrong direction every single cycle, and a hydraulic closer will be damaged by it. The GateStop is a soft, quiet stop made in versions for vinyl, wood and metal gates — use the one for your material, because the fixing differs. The adjustable ReadyFit gate stop is the heavier, adjustable option for SureClose installations.

The screw is part of the product

Many D&D hinges ship without fasteners, and that is deliberate: the correct screw depends entirely on what you are fixing into. Self-drilling wafer head screws in 10 gauge cover most metal, wood and vinyl work. Vinyl without a metal stiffener needs a smaller drill point, or the screw splits the section. Heavy Duty TruClose hinges want a 12 gauge pan head. SureClose flush and center mount units use 14 gauge. Screw packs are sold in 100s and it is worth pre-drilling.

Gap spacers

The 2 inch gap spacer fits MagnaLatch Series 2 and Series 3 Top Pull latches where the gate-to-post gap is wider than the latch allows. Cheaper than moving the post.

Timber gate rescue

An anti-sag kit braces a timber gate diagonally and pulls the droop out of a frame that has gone out of square — the standard fix, and far cheaper than a new gate. Gate springs make a light timber gate self-closing. The powder coated drop rod holds the passive leaf of a double gate.

Keys

Spare and duplicate keys are available for the D&D lock ranges: a 6-pin key for MagnaLatch Series 3 and the lockable LokkLatch models, and a wafer key for the older Series 2. Keys are cut to the number on the original, so quote it when ordering.
