Who is Van Merksteijn?
Fenceweb grew out of Van Merksteijn International, a name known for its reinforcement products, fence panels, gates and posts: a passion for steel. Van Merksteijn Fences is the brand those fence products carry, and every product on this page is made by Van Merksteijn itself.
Made on our own production line
Van Merksteijn produces wire fence panels at scale, with one of the largest ranges and production capacities in the industry. The film takes you inside the plant where the panels on this page are made.
What Van Merksteijn makes for the US store
- Welded wire fence panels: double wire 4/6/4 GA and 0/4/0 GA and V-Fence 6/6 GA, mesh 2" x 8", 8'2" wide, 2' to 8' high
- 358 security fence panels: Light, Light Duo, Heavy, Heavy Duo and the S10, mesh 3" x 1/2", 4' to 10' high
- Swing gates: single leaf, 3', 4' and 5' wide, in double wire or security mesh, 4', 6' or 8' high
- Double gates: 10', 13' and 16' wide in double wire, and 10' wide in security mesh
- Fence posts: 2-3/8" x 2-3/8" and 3" x 3" square steel posts, 12 GA and 9 GA
Finishes
Panels come hot-dip galvanized or galvanized and powder coated in RAL 9005 black, RAL 7016 anthracite, RAL 6005 green or RAL 6009 dark green. Choose posts in the same color, so the fence line reads as one.

What is the difference between double wire, V-Fence and 358 security fence?
Double wire panels have two horizontal wires at every crossing and are the strongest flat panel. V-Fence has a single wire with V-shaped folds for stiffness. 358 security fence has a 3" x 1/2" mesh that is too small to climb and hard to cut.
Which heights are available?
Welded wire panels from 2' to 8', 358 security panels from 4' to 10', and gates 4', 6' or 8' high.
Which colors can I choose?
Hot-dip galvanized, or powder coated black (RAL 9005), anthracite (RAL 7016), green (RAL 6005) or dark green (RAL 6009). The available colors differ per product and are listed on each product page.
Which posts go with the panels?
Use the 2-3/8" x 2-3/8" posts for welded wire panels and the 3" x 3" posts for 358 security fence and taller fence lines. Choose the post length for your fence height plus the part set in concrete.
