Aluminum Fence Gate

A gate belongs to the fence it opens. Choose the system of your fence first, then the type: a walk gate for people, a drive gate for vehicles. Each gate below matches the panels, colors and styles of its own fence line.

The Equinox garden gate has an aluminum frame filled with composite slats, 39-3/8" or 47-1/4" wide and 63", 68-7/8" or 74-3/4" tall, in anthracite gray, quartz gray or black. It hangs on its own 3-7/8" x 3-7/8" aluminum gate post, available in lengths of 7'7", 8'0" and 8'6". To continue an aluminum slat fence, Gardenode builds the same gate with aluminum slats, on quotation.

• Walk gates: Athens in 4 and 5 ft widths and 3 to 6 ft heights, A2 in 4 and 5 ft widths and 4 to 6 ft heights, with two, three or four rails.
• Arched walk gates: the top rail curves up for a gate that stands out from the fence line.
• Drive gate leaves: 6 ft leaves, hung alone or as a pair for a double drive gate, straight or arched.
• Styles: the same flat top, pressed spear, extended picket and pool styles as the panels, so the gate lines up with the fence.

A gate needs a post that carries its weight. Hang a Gardenode gate on the 3-7/8" x 3-7/8" gate post, and a Fortress gate on a post of the right size for its line and height. Hinges and latches are sold with the Fortress gate hardware: residential hinges and fork latches for Athens, ProSeries clamps, latches and drop rods for commercial gates.

A gate in a pool barrier has to close and latch by itself. Choose a gate in a pool-code style and fit self-closing hinges and a self-latching latch, then check the requirements of your state and town.
