Not every installation is all steel or all aluminum. The Combo BadAss uses the same technology as D&D Technologies' bigger hinges and is made for the high-end installation where an aluminum gate is welded to a steel end post.
Materials and operation
The hinge combines an aluminum body with steel parts. Two high temperature sealed bearings need no greasing and no maintenance, and they are safe to powder coat with the hinges installed on the gate.
Sizes and fit
D&D rates the hinges at a load of 450 kg per gate and a maximum gate weight of 270 kg. The adjustable bracket gives horizontal adjustment for a precise installation, with a gate gap of 61 to 74 mm. It is ideal for flat post installations.
Installation
