Shut It Bolt-On BadAss: heavy duty hinges without welding
The Bolt-On BadAss was designed for gates where welding the hinges to the gate and the end post is not an option. The Shut It bushing design gives near frictionless movement with maintenance-free use, just like the weld-on BadAss hinges.
Materials and operation
The hinge is zinc plated. Two high temperature sealed bearings need no greasing and no maintenance, and they are safe to powder coat with the hinges installed on the gate. An adjustable barrel and horizontal adjustment let you set the gate precisely.
Sizes and fit
D&D rates the hinges at a load of 900 kg per gate and a maximum gate weight of 450 kg. The gate gap is 74 to 86 mm, and the hinge suits square gate frames on square posts of 38 mm and up.
Installation
Flat bolt-on brackets allow through bolting to the gate and post. Bolts are ordered separately to suit your gate and post. The hinge is not self-closing.
