Stainless steel M12 hinge axle in two lengths
This Locinox hinge axle is the threaded part of a simple gate hinge. The bent end carries the gate, while the M12 threaded end is fixed through the post or to a wall plate and lets you adjust the position of the gate.
Sizes and fit
The axle has an M12 thread and is available with a pin length of 5-1/8" or 5-7/8". The longer version gives more room to adjust the distance between gate and post. As shown in the photo, it comes with nuts and a washer on the thread.
Materials and finish
The axle is made of stainless steel, so it can be used outdoors without rusting and without a coating. It suits both galvanized and powder coated gates.
Compatibility
Locinox lists the welding ear in black steel as compatible with its 1040TPS-M12 hinge axle; together they make a basic hinge for small garden gates. The hot-dip galvanized Locinox wall plate with M12 thread can be used to fix the axle to a wall. Check the exact axle type with Fenceweb if you need that combination.
