The VersaWeld is designed to weld on nearly any gate straight out of the box. It fits either flat or round posts and gates, so no adaptors are needed, and it runs more smoothly than traditional block or barrel hinges.
Materials and operation
Two sealed ball bearings need no greasing and no maintenance, and they are rated for high temperatures, so the gate can be powder coated with the hinges installed. A precision bushing distributes the gate load for optimal performance and a longer hinge life. The finish is zinc.
Sizes and fit
D&D rates the hinges at a load of 900 kg per gate and a maximum gate weight of 500 kg. They suit posts of 38 mm and up and are specified for pedestrian, pet, privacy, security and commercial gates.
Installation
The VersaWeld is welded to the gate and post. It is not self-closing.
